I'm Lulu — a licensed stylist, platform artist, and the only person behind this chair. Cuts By Lulu isn't a barbershop with rotating staff. It's a private studio built around one thing: knowing your hair well enough to give you exactly what you didn't know how to ask for.
I've been cutting hair in Austin since 2008 — studying the way hair actually moves — on real men, with real textures, real lifestyles, and real opinions about what they want to see in the mirror.

Whether you're wearing a textured crop, growing out a mullet, or wearing your hair long, I plan the curl pattern around your haircut and how you actually style it. Consultation required before your first perm.
Less frizz, more manageable curls, reduced unwanted volume, and easier styling, without permanent straightening. If your hair expands in Austin humidity or takes too much work every morning, a professional smoothing treatment may be worth a conversation. Consultation required for first-time clients.
Smoothing
Not everyone wants straight hair. Sometimes you just want your curls to cooperate.
My smoothing treatments are for clients who want less frizz, more manageable hair, or a smoother finish without permanent straightening. Results range from softer, easier-to-manage curls to significant curl reduction, depending on your hair and the formula that suits it.
The approach depends on your hair's texture, condition, chemical history, and the result you want. I'll evaluate your hair and tell you what's realistic before we schedule anything.
I use CHI Enviro American Smoothing Treatment, a professional heat-sealed system made with silk and pearl. According to CHI, results can last up to four months depending on hair type and home care. Individual results vary. This is a temporary treatment, not a relaxer or permanent straightener.
A consultation is required before your first smoothing treatment. The $25 fee is credited toward a completed treatment booked within 30 days.

The Fine Print
This is a private, appointment-only studio. Your time is reserved exclusively for you — which means when plans change, it affects more than just a slot on a calendar. Please read the following before booking.
Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 hours before your appointment. Anything inside that window is charged at 100% of the service price.
Arriving 10 or more minutes late or rescheduling the day of your appointment is treated as a no-show and charged at 100% of the service price.
Appointments requested outside of regular studio hours are available at a $65 convenience fee added to the service total.
